Leveraging Supply Chain Information Systems and Critical Success Factors for Competitive Advantage in Colombian Fashion Industry

The fashion industry has experienced significant growth amidst a competitive market characterized by uncertainty. This growth is primarily attributed to advancements in information technology and ever-evolving consumer demands. This study aims to conceptualize supply chain agility information systems tailored to the fashion industry, with the primary objective of enhancing supply chain performance. The theoretical design of these systems is rooted in a detailed case study conducted within the Colombian fashion industry. The research findings propose a comprehensive framework for supply chain agility information systems, integrating them within a broader framework of interconnected information systems. This integration is designed to harness the influence of agile characteristics within each chain, ultimately leading to improvements in supply chain performance. The assessment of supply chain performance is based on three key dimensions and thirteen factors within these dimensions, which have been identified through expert insights from the Colombian fashion industry. Through the application of fuzzy DEMATEL ANP analysis, it has been established that market sensitivity and customer satisfaction factors hold significant importance in determining the competitiveness of the Colombian fashion industry. This insight offers valuable guidance for industry stakeholders looking to adapt and thrive in the evolving landscape of the fashion sector.
